5 Week Childbirth Education Class
Week One: Introduction to Birth
Week Two: Labor Overview
Week Three: Interventions
Week Four: Comfort Measures
Week Five: Postpartum
Throughout this series we will be building tool boxes for coping though the pain of labor and for helping the pregnant partner
and non-birthing partner in their journey through the birth experience in any birth setting. We will also cover techniques for
optimizing the transition into parenthood.
Classes will be small, comfortable and enjoyable. Directed towards those seeking an unmedicated birth but a great class for
everyone.
1 Day Childbirth Education Class
A streamlined version of the 5 week series. This one day class is ideal as a refresher course for those who have already gone
through birth.
"Kate was an amazing instructor, using her years of doula experience and education to teach us what to expect from
childbirth. We not only learned the basic mechanics, but also tricks to ease discomfort throughout pregnancy and
labor, ways to work with doctors and nurses to help maintain control of our birthing experience, and tips on
life-after-baby. She is an invaluable resource of information, not to mention a kind, caring, and funny woman! We
recommend Kate to all our local expecting friends." Jenna Brand, Dexter
